PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondent Nos.1 and 3 to give police protection for life and limb of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation, dated 19.08.2023. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Rajaraman For R1 to R-4 : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Criminal Side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. Seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to provide police protection by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.08.2023.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner borrowed some money from the fifth respondent and discharged most part of it and in respect of balance of the amount and interest, the respondent No.5 has been threatening the petitioner and sent a message that he will cut the throat of the petitioner, in case, if he pays no interest. Basing on which, a representation has been given to respondent Nos.2 and 3 Police, but, no action has been taken so far.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.08.2023 is pending with them in C.S.R.No.205 of 2023 and enquiry is being initiated and in case, if the petitioner submits all the relevant materials, appropriate action will be taken.

4. Considering the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of records, this petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the enquiry in the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.08.2023, objectively as quickly as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
