This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking for expeditious disposal of C.C.No.53 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanathapuram. 1/4

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner / Accused No.1 is a retired Government Employee and on account of pendency of C.C.No.53 of 2018, his pensionary benefits have not been settled. It is further submitted that the petitioner has earlier filed Crl.O.P.(DM).No.4703 of 2015 before this Court, which was disposed of on 22.03.2019, directing the trial Court to complete the trial and dispose of the same within a period of six months from the date of framing of charges. It is further submitted that, even as on today, the case is still pending, thereby, lot of prejudice is caused.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on the other hand, submits that, arguments were heard by the trial Court on 05.09.2022 and the matter is stated to be posted for Judgment on 19.09.2023.

4. Considering the submissions made by both sides and keeping in view of the directions passed by this Court earlier, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanathapuram, is directed to pronounce the Judgment positively in C.C.No.53 of 2018 on 19.09.2023, since the case is stated to be posted for Judgment.

5. With this observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
