This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of Survey 1/4
No. 168/1, Tattankulam village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District to the extent of 1 acre 16 cents by considering the petitioner's application dated 20.04.2022 in Patta Transfer vide can No. 13323147541436 and application number 2022/0103/ 23/141896.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
3. The petitioner submitted an application on 20.04.2022 to the respondent for issuance of patta. However, no action has been taken on the said application. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent, submits that the representation of the petitioner would be considered within a time stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 20.04.2022 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate 2/4
orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say, if any rival claims, the same shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
