ORDER
The Petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to call for the records of the first Respondents impugned order passed in proceeding dated 28.09.2022 and quash the same and directing the 1st Respondents to grant permission to conduct the Adal Padal cultural program on 18.10.2022 at night about 7 PM to 10 PM in Mutharamman Temple, Mayaneri Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District and also direct the 1st Respondent to provide adequate police protection 2.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) takes notice for the Respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3.Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the Respondents. 2/5
4.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner would submit that the program will be conducted in a peaceful manner and there will be no untoward incident on account of this program. He would also submit that the Petitioner is the Member of the Radio Set Committee.
5.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the Respondents, would submit that there are law and order issues in the village also it is the contention of the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) that during the festival the President of the temple involved in energy theft and used to put hook in the electric line for the purpose of putting lighting arrangement and sound service. He would also submit that only after getting proper permission of the TANGEDCO authorities the representation of the Petitioner will be considered by the Respondents 1 and 2.
6.In view of the submission made by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side), the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the Petitioner to obtain permission from the TANGEDCO authorities for the use of electric energy for sound service and lighting with 3/5
regard to the conduct of temple festival. Only after obtaining permission from the in writing from the TANGEDCO authorities, the Respondents are directed to consider the representation of the Petitioner and pass appropriate orders. No costs.
