ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition has been filed, invoking Article 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking orders to direct the Rent Control Tribunal cum Additional District Munsif, Thanjavur to dispose of the R.C.O.P.No.6 of 2018 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have filed an eviction petition in R.C.O.P.No.6 of 2018 against the respondents on the ground of willful default and own use and occupation; that the respondents have filed their counter in 2018 itself and that thereafter, the petition is pending for enquiry without any progress for the past 5 years.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and also perused the records.

4. Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and also the fact that the RCOP is pending from 2018 onwards, 2/4

the Rent Controller is hereby directed to proceed with the trial and dispose of the petition within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above observation and direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
