Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to construct any buildings including the Social Welfare building upon the petitioner's ancestral property is situated at Virudhunagar District, Aruppukottai Union, Chettipatti Village in S.No. 59/28 admeasuring 0-3.82 Hectare by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2025. ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents not to construct any buildings including the Social Welfare building upon the petitioner's ancestral property situated at Virudhunagar District, Aruppukottai Union, Chettipatti Village in S.No. 59/28 admeasuring 0-3.82 Hectare, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2025.
2. The petitioner claims that land measuring an extent of 1.78 acres standing in the name of the petitioner's late grandmothers, namely Shenbagam 2/5
@ Shenbagavalli and Alagarakkal, is being used by the respondents to build a social welfare building.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4 submits that the petitioner's grandmother had gifted 1.26 acres out of the total 1.78 acres way back in 1986 vide registered deed dated 20.09.1986.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader further submits that after the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2025 was received, a decision has been taken to shift the proposed construction to an alternate site away from the petitioner's left over land.
5. Recording the above submission, the writ petition stands closed as no further order is required to be passed in this writ petition. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 25.08.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No sn 3/5
