(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents to fill the vacancies of Medical Officer, Staff Nurses, Pharmacist and hospital workers, Doctors vacancies in the Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHC)in the Madurai City and other parts of the State of Tamilnadu and to ensure the 2/6
availability and presence of the Medical Officer during night hours for ensure the medical services to the patients round the clock in accordance with law.
2. The City Health Officer, Madurai Corporation furnished the list of details regarding the number of sanctioned posts and the Medical Officers working in the Urban Primary Health Centre and the vacancy position.
