ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner in passport application No.MDA077536210325 dated 04.04.2025 pending before the first respondent in accordance with law.
2. The petitioner has been served with a notice dated 02.07.2025, wherein, the petitioner has been called upon to provide an explanation regarding the cases pending against him in certain FIRs registered on the file of the respondents 2 and 3 herein.
3. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents 2 and 3 submits that the petitioner has been involved in atleast 11 different FIRs registered for various offences. It is further submitted that out of 11 cases, some of them have 2/6
been disposed of and some of the cases charge sheet has been filed but not taken on file by the concerned Court. The details of which reads as under: S.No Crime No.

4. Considering the same, there can be no impediment in directing the first respondent to process the petitioner's passport application.
5. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to process the passport application of the petitioner and issue passport to the petitioner as expeditiously 3/6
as possible preferably within period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. It is also made clear that in case charge sheets are filed and taken on file against the petitioner in respect of Serial Nos.1, 2, 6, 7 and 10 in the above table, the petitioner shall voluntarily surrender the passport before the concerned court and retrieve the same as and when the petitioner proposes to travel abroad by filing appropriate application. If the petitioner fails to comply with this condition, the first respondent is at liberty to cancel the passport. 7.The writ petition stands disposed of.
