ORDER
This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking to set aside the impugned proceedings passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No. 1656/2022/A2, dated 18.03.2022, initiated under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Record of Tenancy Rights Act.
2. The petitioner is the landlord. The second and third respondents claimed to be cultivating tenants under him and made an application before the first respondent for registration of their tenancy. Pursuant to the said application, the first respondent issued a notice dated 18.03.2022. Aggrieved by the same, the present Civil Revision Petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent submitted that no documentary evidence was produced before the first respondent by the alleged cultivating tenants to substantiate their tenancy rights. It is further submitted that the present Tahsildar has withdrawn the impugned notice by passing an order dated 26.08.2025. The Tahsildar also appeared before this Court and stated that henceforth applications for registration of 2/4
tenancy will be entertained only on the basis of valid documentary proof in terms of the statutory records.
4. In view of the above submission and inasmuch as the impugned notice has already been withdrawn, nothing further survives for adjudication in this Civil Revision Petition.
5. In the result, this Civil Revision Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 28.08.2025 Internet:Yes/No Index:Yes/No TSG To 1.The .The Tahsildar cum Record Officer, (Tamil Nadu Agriculture Land Records of Tenancy Right), Madurai North Taluk Office, Madurai District.
