ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue a separate patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.273/8B1A1, Nanja land, to an extent of 0.02.5 hectares, and Survey No.273/8B1B1, Nanja land, to an extent of 0.01.0 hectares, situated at Karungalakudi Revenue Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the online application of the petitioner dated 02.07.2025.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Mandhiralingeswaran, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate, for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he purchased the subject property under a registered sale deed dated 08.02.2019. Based on the said sale deed, he submitted an application on 02.07.2025 seeking issuance of a separate patta. Since the said application was not considered, he subsequently submitted a representation before the respondents on 18.07.2025. As no orders have been passed on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of the present writ petition. 2/4
4. The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and his vendor.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
