ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the first respondent to conduct further investigation in the light of the report dated 26.07.2019 issued by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (SDFP bureau), Sivagangai in connection with Crime No.467 of 2017 dated 22.11.2017 on the file of the first respondent within time frame as fixed by this Court.

It is seen from the records that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.467 of 2017 on 22.11.2017 for the offences under Sections 457 and 380 IPC and that they have received a report from the Deputy Superintendent of Police (FP), S.D.F.P. Bureau, Sivagangai on 26.07.2019.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the report came to be issued as earlier as on 26.07.2019, there was no further progress in the matter.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent would 2/4

submit that they have taken the copy of the records from the camp office and the first respondent is proceeding with the investigation.

5. Recording the same, the first respondent is directed to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.467 of 2017 and file final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the Jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police is directed to monitor the same.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
