ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner purchased an unapproved plot of land in the year 2021. Subsequently, the said plot was duly regularised by the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP). Now the petitioner wants to sell the property. However, the registering authority declined to accept the sale deed for registration, citing that the bar contained in Section 22A of the Registration Act, 1908 stood attracted. Challenging the refusal check slip, this writ petition came to be filed. 3.I am more than satisfied that the petition mentioned plot had already been regularised and therefore Section 22A of the Act will not 2/4

come in the way. In this view of the matter, the refusal check slip is quashed. The petitioner and the purchaser are permitted to re-present the document. The second respondent will receive the same, register it and release it subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities. 4.This Writ Petition is allowed accordingly.
