ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ on hand has been instituted to call for the records pertaining to the Election Result-2025 issued by the second respondent/Election Officer, Madurai Bench High Court Advocates Association (MBHAA) and to quash the same as illegal. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that there were certain discrepancies in respect of the elections conducted and irregularities were noticed.

3.However, the High Court, in exercise of its powers of judicial review, cannot adjudicate disputed questions of fact relating to the election of an association registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975. Such disputes require an elaborate enquiry based on the documents and evidence available on record. Therefore, the writ Court cannot entertain such nature of disputes which require adjudication on merits and in accordance with law.

4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is not maintainable and the same stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. [S.M.S.,J.] & [G.A.M.,J.] 11.08.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes ps 3/5
