PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release the petitioner's husband namely Prabu, S/o.Thibursiyan (C.P.No.2121) now confining at Palayamkottai Central Prison under premature release on the basis of G.O(Ms)No.64 Home (Pri IV) Department, dated 01.02.2018 or G.O(Ms)No.488 Home (Pri IV) Department, dated 15.11.2021 or under Advisory Board proceedings under Rule 341 of the Tamil Nadu Prison Rules or any other appropriate order or Government Scheme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.07.2025 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to release the petitioner's husband namely Prabu, S/o.Thibursiyan (C.P.No.2121) now confining at Palayamkottai Central Prison under premature release, on the basis of G.O(Ms)No.64 Home (Pri IV) Department, dated 01.02.2018 or G.O(Ms)No.488 Home (Pri IV) Department, dated 15.11.2021 or under Advisory Board proceedings under Rule 341 of the Tamil Nadu Prison Rules or any other appropriate order or Government Scheme

by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.07.2025 in accordance with law.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 31.07.2025 strictly in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
