ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to issue a joint patta in favour of Sri Periya Mariyamman Temple in respect of the property situated in Survey No.1168/21, Pamban Revenue Village, Rameswaram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering the petitioner's online application dated 16.07.2025. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.R.Mahendrarajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, 55 cents of land in Old Survey No. 1168/5 in the above mentioned village was purchased in the name of Sri Periya Mariyamman Temple from one Rathinangitha Pandiyan under a sale deed dated 21.12.1987. The patta for the subject property stands in the name of the vendor till date. Therefore, the petitioner claiming himself as a administrator of the Temple submitted an application on 16.07.2025 seeking issuance of the patta in the name of the above

mentioned temple. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the application of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 16.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, co-pattadars and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
