ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition seeking to rectify a wrong entry during the UDR and directing the third respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner. This request has been made by the petitioner by his representation dated 18.07.2023 has not been considered.

2.The petitioner's contention is that the property comprised in S.Nos.522/3, 522/4 and 485 measuring an extent of 88 cents, 1.34 acre and 3.55 acres respectively, situated at Perungudi Ayanpappagudi Village, Avuniyapuram, was originally belonged to his great grandfather and the 'A' Register has reflected his name. However, during the UDR scheme, these survey numbers have been wrongly classified as

Government vacant land and patta in respect of the Survey Nos.522/3 and 522/4 issued in the name of Sornam and two others, who had no document to the same. Therefore, a representation has been made which has not been considered to till date.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.Taking into consideration the fact that 'A' Register of the year 1905 with respect to the aforesaid property, had reflected the name of the petitioner's great grandfather and the lands had been described as S.Nos. 522/3, 522/4 and 485 and now has been reclassified as Government vacant land, that too without notice to the petitioner, a Mandamus is issued to the second respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2023 on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the persons to whom the patta has now been mutated in respect of the S.Nos.522/3 and 522/4, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
