ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition seeking to rectify a wrong entry during the UDR and directing the third respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner. This request has been made by the petitioner by his representation dated 26.02.2024 has not been considered.

2.The petitioner's contention is that the property comprised in S.Nos.74/1 and 135/1 measuring an extent of 1.08 and 1.28 acres respectively, situated at Perungudi Ayanpappagudi Village, Avuniyapuram, originally belonged to his great grandfather and the 'A' Register has reflected his name. However, during the UDR scheme, these survey numbers have been wrongly entered the title as (fsk; g[wk;nghf;F).

Therefore, a representation has been made which has not been considered to till date.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.Taking into consideration the fact that 'A' Register of the year 1905 with respect to the aforesaid property, had reflected the name of the petitioner's great grandfather and the lands had been described as S.Nos. 74/1 and 135/1 and now it has been reclassified as Government vacant land, that too without notice to the petitioner, a Mandamus is issued to the second respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the persons to whom the patta has now been mutated in respect of the S.Nos.74/1 and 135/1 , within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
