ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to give necessary police protection for life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2024.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the fourth respondent before the Cantonment Police Station, Trichy, the matter was enquired and the petitioner has given Rs.1,00,000/- and the fourth respondent, after receiving the same, has given statement that no further action is necessary, that subsequently the fifth respondent, who is the husband of the fourth respondent, has given a complaint before the third respondent and the third respondent, without conducting any proper enquiry, has registered a case in Crime No.220 of 2024 against five persons including the petitioner herein, that the petitioner was arrested and released on bail and that thereafter the respondents 4 and 5 have been attempting to 2/4

trespass and threaten the petitioner for returning of more amount.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the fifth respondent, FIR came to be registered and investigation is pending.

4. Considering the above, the third respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner as well as to the private respondents and conduct enquiry with regard to the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2024 and take a decision within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
