the petitioner in file No.e.f.vz;.[p5/46238/2021, in respect of cancellation of patta in patta No.815 issued in the name of the fourth respondent in respect of the lands to an extent of 21 cents (0.08.5 Hectares) comprised in Survey No. 65/1A, Kuravakudi Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court and to pass such other and further orders as this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed an application on October 2021 before the first respondent challenging the dismissal of his application for cancellation of patta.

2. It is the case of the petitioenr that she had purchased the lands measuring an extent of 1 acre 46 cents inclusive of 21 cents in S.No.65/1A Kuravakudi Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai on 22.05.1986. The petitioner on 14.09.2020 gave a representation to the second respondent to cancel the patta granted to the fourth respondent in respect of 21 cents in patta No.815. However, the said application was dismissed on 17.09.2021. Against which the 2/5

appeal in question had been filed. Though nearly three years have lapsed from the date of filing of the appeal, no orders have been passed to date.

3. Taking the above facts into account, a Mandamus is issued to the first respondent to complete the hearing and passing of orders in the appeal before the first respondent, within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands allowed, accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
