O R D E R
This petitioner with a grievance that her complaint, dated 15.07.2025 has not been acted upon by the respondent police, has approached this Court.
2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that the petitioner has lodged a complaint as against her husband and her in-laws/the respondents 4 to 7 herein and the same was enquired in CSR No.301 of 2025. The enquiry reveals that the issue is out of matrimonial dispute and therefore, they have referred the matter to the Social Welfare Officer on 03.06.2025. 2/5
3.Considering that this issue is out of matrimonial dispute, the matter has been rightly forwarded to the Social Welfare Officer and the same is now pending before the Social Welfare Officer. The respondent police shall refer this petitioner to the Social Welfare Officer. The petitioner shall appear before the Social Welfare Officer and co-operate for the enquiry. The respondent police shall ensure the appearance of the private respondents before the Social Welfare officer concerned. In the event, if the complaint of the petitioner makes out a cognizable offence, the respondent police shall proceed further in accordance with law. 4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
