ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to secure and produce the body or person of the detenue namely M.Valarmathi Divya D/o.T.Manikandan, aged 21 years, and set her at liberty and produce before this Court.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he is working as an electrician and that his daughter namely, Valarmathi Divya, aged about 22 years had gone to his sister's house on 17.07.2025. But, she did not return back home. Despite the searching to find her, he was unable to find her. Thereby, the petitioner has given a complaint before the second respondent and the second respondent Police had 2/5
registered a case in Crime No.269 of 2025 under the caption "Women Missing". Since the third respondent police have not taken any steps to find out the whereabouts of the girl, the petitioner has come up with the present Habeas Corpus Petition.
4.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the daughter of the petitioner was traced at Madurai and she has been produced before this Court. He further submitted that during the enquiry, she informed the police that she voluntarily left with one Lenin Kumar, since she was having love affair with him and that the same was opposed by the petitioner and her family members. Thereby, she came out of home and married him.
5.We enquired the missing girl, who is aged about 22 years old submitted that she completed B.A (History) and she was having love affair with the said Lenin Kumr. When the same was opposed by her father, she left home and got married the said Lenin Kumar and that she has expressed her unwillingness to go along with her father.

6.Since the missing person is not in illegal detention of anybody and she had expressed her unwillingness to go along with her father, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
