O RDER This petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.71 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent in respect of the petitioner/accused No.3.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the second respondent borrowed a sum of Rs.55,000/- from the petitioner and thereafter, he repaid the same. Subsequently, the petitioner demanded exorbitant interest. Thereby, the second respondent made a complaint before the first respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.71 of 2022 against the petitioner for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 447 and 506(i) of IPC and Section 4 of TNPCEI Act, 2003. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner did not lend any money to the second respondent, that he has been falsely implicated in this case and that he did not claim any money from the second respondent. However, this Court may permit the petitioner to disprove the complaint by producing necessary documents before the first respondent police enable them to close the case as action dropped. Hence, he prayed for allowing this petition. 2/4

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the first respondent police to complete the investigation within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court. 5.In view of the above, the first respondent Police is directed to conclude the investigation in Crime No.71 of 2022 by giving necessary opportunity to all the accused persons including the petitioner herein. The above said exercise shall be done within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
