Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the petitioner's father name as Periya Raman instead of Raman in the Patta No.18461 in new S.No.440/7 and old S.No.440/2Apa to an extent of 0.02.00 Hectares situated at Timmarasanayakkanur - I Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

A representation, dated 01.04.2024 to the respondents 1 and 2 to rectify the name of the petitioner's father as Periya Raman instead of Raman has been pending without any action, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. The petitioner's father name has been recorded in the patta bearing no.18461 in New Survey No.440/7 and Old Survey No.440/2Apa to an extent of 0.02.00 hectares in Timmarasanayakkanur - I Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District as Raman instead of Periya Raman. The mistake has been noticed only recently and on coming to know about the same, immediately a representation has been given on 01.04.2024. Since there was no action on the side of the respondents, this writ petition.

3. Considering the request of the petitioner, a mandamus is issued to the respondents to correct the name of the petitioner's father name as

Periya Raman instead of Raman. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
