Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members without any legally sustainable complaint and to direct the second respondent to follow the guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in D.K.Basu (1997 1 SCC 416) case in matters pertaining to arrest or interrogation within the time period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

2. The petitioner alleges harassment at the hands of the respondents. He has filed this petition to forbear them from doing so.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that some complaints are pending against the petitioner's son.

4. If that be so, it is open to them to take action as per law. The petitioner has not been indulged in any criminal act. Therefore, the petitioner cannot be harassed for any reason.
