ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/ Accused apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences under Sections 294(b) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of harassment of Women Act, 2003 altered into Sections 294(b), 306 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime 1/3

No.168 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is a collection agent cum Hea of Gramavidiyal Micro Finance Company. On 15.06.2023, the petitioner alleged to have insisted the deceased to settle the arrear amount. On that basis, on 22.06.2023, at about 8.20 a.m., when the defacto complainant went to the duty, the deceased called the defacto complainant to come to home. He rushed to his house and found his wife unconscious. He took his wife to the hospital. There the deceased told the defacto complainant that on the pressure given by accused persons, she consumed tablets. One week later, the defacto complainant's wife died. Hence, case has been registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent, he has been falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that co-accused was granted bail by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14320 of 2023. Further submitted that the defacto complainant's wife has died, a week later she consumed the tablets.

4. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. Perusal of CD file does not indicate the said fact. The deceased has committed suicide by taking multiple drugs. I find no reason to entertain this 2/3
