ORDER

The petitioner, who had filed an appeal on 02.02.2022 before the first respondent seeking cancellation of the patta issued to the second respondent in respect of the property comprised in S.No.800/5 Kalappakulam Village, Sankarankoil Taluk, Tenkasi is aggrieved by the fact that this appeal has not been disposed of to date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsels on either side.

3. The records would indicate that the petitioner's appeal has been filed on 02.02.2022 before the Revenue Divisional Officer, who has directed the Revenue Tahsildar to submit his report by his proceedings, dated 09.02.2022 in X.K.m2/729/2022. After that, there has been no further progress.

4. Considering the above, a Mandamus is issued directing the first respondent to enquire and dispose of the appeal of the petitioner, dated 2/4

02.02.2022, within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands allowed, accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
