PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the name of the petitioner for the appointment of notary on the basis of his application dated 22.06.2017 as well as the interview held on 19.04.2018 and to appoint him as notary, within the time limit stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents to consider the name of the petitioner for the appointment of a notary on the basis of the application dated 22.06.2017 as well as the interview held on 19.04.2018 and to appoint him as a notary.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent would submit that the selection process has been completed and the petitioner was not selected. That apart, the petitioner already filed a Writ Petition before this Court challenging the order passed by the third 2/5
respondent therein and the same was dismissed as withdrawn in W.P(MD)No.17491 of 2018, by order dated 10.08.2018. 3.In view of the above, the direction sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
