ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the learned Judge, Family Court, Tirunelveli to expedite the trial in G.W.O.P.No.138 of 2019, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner. Since the revision petition is filed for early disposal of the case, the issuance of notice to the respondents is not necessary.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has filed GWOP and the same is pending on the file of the Family Court, Tirunelveli in G.W.O.P.No.138 of 2019. He would further submit that after filing counter, the case was disposed of on 26.04.2023 setting the respondent ex-parte. Therefore, she filed a petition to reopen the same and the same is pending.

4. It is seen from the records that the respondent, after filing the counter statement, has remained ex-parte.

5. Whatever it is, since the G.W.O.P.No.138 of 2019, is pending for the past four years, the learned Judge, Family Court, Tirunelveli, is hereby directed to complete the trial and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above observation and direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
