O R D E R

This Writ Petition had been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 09.11.2021 within a stipulated time.

2.Heard Ms.A.Banumathy, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Karthick, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent. Notice had not been directed to the second respondent. However, orders are passed in the Writ Petition.

3.The petitioner was born to one D.Srinivasan, who died on 05.12.2009. Thereafter, his mother married one M.Manikandan on 12.12.2010. The name of the father of the petitioner was unfortunately given as M.Manikandan by his mother in the second respondent School, where, the petitioner studied from 2010 to 2016. He completed his 10th and 12th standards from the very same school. He received the certificates from the second respondent School and his father's name was shown as M.Manikandan. The petitioner seeks correction of the name of the father from M.Manikandan to D.Srinivasan. He had given a representation in this regard. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.22113 of 2021 4.Mr.P.Karthick, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent had stated that necessary certificates would be issued, provided the petitioner gives his birth certificate or any other relevant certificates through the second respondent school to the first respondent.

5.1.The learned Counsel for the petitioner may therefore advise the petitioner herein to forward all the relevant certificates relating to his birth, where the name of his father is given as D.Srinivasan and such certificates may be given to the second respondent. Thereafter, an obligation is placed on the second respondent to forward the same to the first respondent. 5.2.On receipt of those documents from the second respondent, the first respondent, if they are otherwise in order, proceed further to issue fresh certificates, particularly, 10th and 12th mark sheet of the petitioner herein incorporating the name of the father of the petitioner as D.Srinivasan. Such exercise should be completed within a period of six weeks from the date receipt of certificates by the first respondent from the second respondent. 5.3.

If the first respondent entertains any doubt or requires clarification, the same may be addressed to the petitioner herein. They need not reject the representation given by the petitioner. The first respondent is also under an obligation to consider the representation in accordance with the guidelines issued by various Courts including the Honourable Supreme Court. 6.With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
