O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the first respondent to provide land assignment to the writ petitioner in respect of his agricultural land situated in T.S.No.35 extent about 2 Acres 35 Cents at Ward "Q" Block 1, Iravuseri Group (Revenue Village), Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner has been in possession of 2.35 acres of land in T.S.No.35 at Ward "Q" Block 1, Iravuseri Group (Revenue Village), Devakottai Taluk, that the writ petitioner has submitted his representation 05.07.2016 to the first respondent for assigning the said land to the writ petitioner taking note of the long possession and cultivation therein, that the first respondent has forwarded the said representation to the Sub Collector, Devakottai vide letter dated 2/6

14.07.2016, who in turn, forwarded the said letter to the third respondent vide letter dated 20.09.2016 to conduct enquiry and take necessary action and that though the third respondent has received the letter in September-2016, he has not conducted any enquiry nor passed any order so far.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the writ petitioner may be directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent and he may be directed to consider the representation and conduct enquiry and pass orders within a time stipulated by this Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances and also taking note of the submissions made on either side, the writ petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent and the second respondent on receipt of the said representation is directed to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
