ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's revision petition dated 06.09.2017 against the order dated 15.05.2014 passed by the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai, within a specified time frame, that may be fixed by this Court.
2.Mr.S.Dhayalan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.According to the petitioner, while he was working as Village Administrative Officer, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against him. Thereafter, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai, has dismissed the petitioner from service, by his order dated 31.12.2013. Against which, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai. The District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai, by his order dated 12.05.2014, modified the punishment, imposed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, fixing the petitioner's pay in the initial stage of the post of Village Administrative Officer without any increment throughout his service. W.P.(MD) No.22173 of 2019 has filed a revision petition before the respondent on 06.09.2017. However, no order has been passed thereon. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.
4.Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the revision petition dated 06.09.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
