ORDER:- This Revision/Appeal Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mrs.S.Prabha, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.A.Thiruvadikumar, Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

(Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH,J.) When the criminal appeal was allowed through judgment and order dated 18.10.2022, we directed the appellant to pay compensation of a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) to the victim. The father of the victim girl was not willing to receive the amount and the victim girl, due to hesitation shown by her father, is also not willing to receive the amount as of now. 2.In view of the above, the learned counsel for the appellant shall deposit the sum of Rs.2,50,000/- to the credit of the Crl.A (MD)No.518 of 2019, within the course of this week. The Registrar

Judicial is directed to deposit this amount in a fixed deposit in an interest bearing account in a Nationalised Bank and the same shall be renewed from time to time. It will be left open to the victim girl to withdraw this amount at any point of time in future along with accrued interest.
