ORDER

Challenge has been made to the order of the respondent dated 17.10.2016, where the request of the petitioner seeking pension has been rejected on the ground that the petitioner was the member in the scheme for less than five years.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that since the petitioner failed to register his name continuously 5 years before he attained the age of 60 years, the respondent refused to grant pension, when the petitioner attained the age of 60 years.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner has been receiving pension till date. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous, for which, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he has not received any intimation in this regard from the petitioner, however, recording the said submission, this petition may be closed. 2/4

4.In such view of the matter, recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondent, this Writ Petition is closed as no further order is required. No costs.
