ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner purchased 81.5 cents of land from one Gnanasekaran. The document was presented for registration. But registration was refused on the ground that the bar under Section 22A of the Registration Act, 1908 is attracted. Challenging the stand of the respondent, this writ petition came to be filed. 3.Copy of the sale deed has been enclosed in the typed set of papers. It is seen therefrom that what has been purchased is only a piece of agricultural land. The land has been described only as "punjai". This is clear from the four boundary description also. It is quite possible that this land may be parcelled and developed in future. At this stage, Section 22A of the Registration Act, 1908 does not come into play. 2/4

4.As on date, Section 22A is not at all attracted. The impugned refusal check slip is quashed. The petitioner may re-present the document. It shall be registered and released subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities.
