ORDER

This petition is filed to quash the charge sheet in S.T.C.No.490 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Thoothukudi, Thoothukudi District.

2. When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Persecutor would submit that as per the Government Order dated, 26.05.2021, the Government has decided to withdraw all the cases, which have been registered over the occurrence that took place in and around the Thoothukudi over the sterlite issue. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.22214 of 2018 of the Government Order was also circulated by him. Wherein, except heinous offence matters, all other matters are ordered to be withdrawn. On that basis, opinion of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor was heard and he has also recommended for the withdrawal of the case. So, nothing survives for further direction or consideration in this matter.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
