Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.03.2024 to change the petitioner's vendors name and issue patta in his name in respect of the property measuring of an extent of 4000 sq.ft in old survey no.3906 situated in Thiruthanthoni Village, Uraiyur Sub Registration, Trichy District within a time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner's request for transferring the patta to his name from his vendor mutt not having been considered for the past 6 months, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. The petitioner has purchased an extent of 4000 sq.ft in Survey No.3906 at Thiruthanthoni village, Uraiyur, Trichy district from Tharmapuram Aadhinam under a registered sale deed, dated 18.01.1988. The sale has been effected pursuant to the orders of this Court, dated 03.03.1987 in O.P.No.52 of 1986. The petitioner has made an online application on 25.03.2024 for the mutation of patta in his name. However, no steps have been taken and the status of his application simply shown as "pending for correction cannot proceed with this land". However, no intimation has been received from the respondents.

3. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, a mandamus is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.03.2024 and pass speaking orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
