ORDER

The petitioner claims a right to the property measuring an extent of 0.4520.0 sq.m., comprised in S.No.50/4 new S.No.7/3 situated at Paramakudi Town, Ramanathapuram District. The petitioner has taken possession and also got patta in her name by proceedings of the Tahsildar, dated 22.11.2004.

2.The petitioner would submit that she is in possession of the said land by cultivating the same. The third respondent, who is the brother of his mother, had filed an application before the second respondent for cancelling the patta. He claimed a right through UDR certificate. The third respondent's claim through UDR patta in the name of Idumpa Pillai, his father. The said Idumpa Pillai died in the year 1998 leaving behind the third respondent and four others as his legal representatives. The third respondent, suppressing the names of other legal heirs, has filed an appeal before the second respondent. The second respondent, without considering the document, has cancelled the patta by his proceedings dated 16.06.2004. As against which, the petitioner has filed a revision

before the first respondent on 10.07.2024. So far no enquiry was conducted. Hence, the present writ petition is filed. 3.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4.Taking note of the fact that the revision has been filed challenging the patta proceedings, a Mandamus is issued to the first respondent to dispose the revision in B5/27336/24 dated 10.07.2004, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
