: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue legal heir certificate to the petitioner for her deceased husband Manoharan at once.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue legal heir certificate to the petitioner for her deceased husband Manoharan at once. 1/4

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the State would submit that in view of Government Order in G.O(Ms).No.110, dated 13.03.2024, the second respondent is ready to issue legal heir certificate mentioning the petitioner first wife and the petitioner's daughter and also the children of the deceased Manoharan through his second wife .

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the second respondent may be directed to issue such a certificate.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the second respondent is directed to issue a legal heir certificate mentioning the petitioner and her daughter and the children of the deceased Manoharan through his second wife as legal heirs of the deceased Manoharan within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
