This writ petition is listed today under the caption "for dismissal".
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner is present. Once again, he seeks an adjournment. Even on the last hearing date i.e., on 07.08.2024, there was no representation on the side of the petitioner. This writ petition is of the year 2017.
3. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents also submits that nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition, since the selection panel pertaining to the post of Deputy
Director of Prosecution, which the petitioner is challenging in this writ petition, was finalized only with the concurrence of the Honourable Chief Justice and the candidates were already appointed to the said post in the year 2017 and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.
4. Since the learned counsel for the petitioner is not ready once again, even though this writ petition is of the year 2017, it can now be inferred that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting this writ petition.
5. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 08.08.2024 NCC :
