Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents placed before this Court the instructions received by him from the District Collector dated 08.05.2023, informing him that G.O.Ms.(P) 98, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj E(3) Department dated 03.03.2017, has been cancelled and the petitioner has been reverted back to his original post. Learned Additional Government Pleader would further submit that the writ petition has now become infructuous.

2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner is also satisfied with the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, based on his written instructions received from the District Collector dated 08.04.2023 that G.O.Ms.(P) 98, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj E(3) Department dated 03.03.2017 has been cancelled and the petitioner has been reverted back to his original post, this Writ Petition is disposed of in terms thereof. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
