PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue joint Patta to the legal heirs of late Karupasamy in Natham land S.No.291/4, measuring 4347 Sq.ft in Anchampatti Village, Vannikudi group, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District, by disposing petitioner's representation dated 20.05.2025 within a reasonable time to be fixed by the Court.

ORDER

By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks the issuance of joint patta to the legal heirs of the late Karupasamy in respect of the Natham land in Survey No. 291/4 measuring 4347 sq.ft.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner relies on sale deed dated 06.12.1983 in favour of Karupasamy Devar, i.e.the petitioner's father, and on death certificate of Karupasamy dated 14.06.2012 and legal heir certificate dated 27.01.2017.

3.Learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that the request for joint patta would be considered and disposed of on merits.

4.In view of this submission, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's request for joint patta after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the other legal heirs of the late Karupasamy as indicated in the legal heirship certificate. This exercise shall be completed within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
