This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of young daughter, aged about 15 years, who had been missing on and from 25.01.2024.
2.In this connection, FIR in Cr.No.186 of 2024 had been registered under the caption of Girl Missing by the second respondent/ Inspector of Police, Palani Adivaram Police Station, Dindigul District. Subsequently, the girl had been located and she was brought before us on 19.09.2024.
3.Owing to the information given by her to the first respondent, the FIR in Cr.No.186 of 2024 had been altered for offence punishable under Section 137(2)(b) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 5(l) r/w 6 and 17 of POCSO Act. Let the investigation in that particular FIR continue in normal course. 4.We had adjourned the matter to enquire whether the studies of the child could continue in any of the Nursing college in and around Dindigul District.

5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor stated that the second respondent / Inspector of Police, Palani Adivaram Police Station, Dindigul District had enquired with the Sakthi College of Nursing and also spoken to the Correspondent, Mr.John Kennedy, who had stated that he has prepared to readmit the young child to continue her study. 6.We deeply appreciate the efforts taken by the Inspector of Police, Palani Adivaram Police Station, Dindigul District in this regard. 7.In view of the fact that the child had been located, no further orders are required. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
