ORDER
The Petitioner has come out with the present writ petition for a direction to the first respondent ie. the Managing Director, TASMAC, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the recent proposals sent by the Senior Regional Manager, Madurai, in his R.C.No.2/2019A2, dated 29.03.2019 regarding the petitioner's promotion as Junior Assistant, within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
2.Mr.H.Arumugam, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Watchman on 25.10.1990 and promoted as Record Clerk by the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 01.03.2007. In this circumstance, the Juniors of the petitioner were promoted as Junior Assistant in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Hence, the District Manager, TASMAC, Virudhunagar, sent proposals to the first respondent, dated 04.04.2008, with connected records, regarding promotion to the petitioner. The second respondent also sent proposal to the first respondent in this regard on 29.03.2019. But, the first respondent has not passed any order so far. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ petition.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has not possessed requisite qualification for the post of Junior Assistant and hence, he is not entitled for any promotion.
5.Considering the rival submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondents, without deciding the issue on merits, the first respondent is directed to consider the proposal sent by the second respondent, dated 29.03.2019, regarding promotion of the petitioner as Junior Assistant and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, with in a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
