ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to settle the retirement benefits payable to the petitioner with reasonable rate of interest, within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
2.Mr.S.Dhayalan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4. Notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with, since no adverse order is going to be passed against the 5th respondent. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.According to the petitioner, he joined in the services of the Thiruvaru Circle Co-operative Housing Society from 15.06.1980. Lastly, he worked as Secretary in the 5th respondent Society and retired from service, on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2015. However, the retirement benefits payable to the petitioner, have not been settled. Therefore, he made several representations to the respondents, lastly on 01.10.2019. However, the same has not been considered, so far. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.
4.Considering the nature of relief sought for, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 01.10.2019, on merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
