ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to renew the passport of the petitioner.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent was not inclined to renew the passport on the ground that an FIR was pending in Crime No.53 of 2008.

3. When this matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent submitted that the investigation was completed and the final report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kanchipuram and the same was taken cognizance in C.C.No.76 of 2020. In the final report, the petitioner has been shown as A3.

4. In view of the above, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court. The petitioner has to necessarily file an application before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kanchipuram and the same shall be dealt with by the Court in accordance with law. Except giving this liberty, no further orders can be passed in this Writ Petition.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
