PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave/Parole for the petitioner's husband namely, Selvaraj, S/O.Ponnusamy, Prisoner No.7057777 (Convict in S.C.No.33 of 2020, on the file of the learned District and Sessions Court, Karur, for a period of 15 days to maker necessary prior arrangement and to participate in the marriage of his son which is scheduled to taken place on 29.08.2025 and the subsequent reception on 30.08.2025. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant ordinary leave/Parole for the petitioner's husband namely, Selvaraj, S/O.Ponnusamy, Prisoner No.7057777 (Convict in S.C.No.33 of 2020, on the file of the learned District and Sessions Court, Karur, for a period of 15 days to maker necessary prior arrangement and to participate in the marriage of his son which is scheduled to taken place on 29.08.2025 and the subsequent reception on 30.08.2025.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 04.08.2025 strictly in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of one week from today. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
