ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The prayer made in this Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to initiate suitable civil and criminal actions against the fifth respondent under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 and Indian Penal Code, 1860, on the basis of the petitioner's complaint, dated 08.06.2018.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 has produced a communication in Na.Ka.No.217/2018/The2, dated 17.09.2022, of the Block Development Officer, Thiruparankundram addressed to him and submitted that the charge of misappropriation levelled against the fifth 2/5

respondent was found to be proved and therefore, she was suspended from service by the proceedings of the District Collector in Na.Ka.No.29894/2018/Oo.Va.5, dated 29.10.2018 and a sum of Rs.10,80,610/- was recovered from the fifth respondent and credited to the concerned Bank account.

3.Recording the aforesaid communication, dated 17.09.2022 and the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
