PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 4 & 5 herein to maintain the name Thanivilai Hamlet while Registration of documents, issuing land tax receipts, house tax receipts, installing the name boards and all other official purposes in the light of the proceedings passed by the second respondent herein vide Na.Ka.No.A4/4748/2020 dated 16.11.2020 on the basis of the petitioner's representation made before the first respondent herein by RPAD dated 29.10.2020 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents 4 & 5 herein to maintain the name Thanivilai Hamlet while Registration of documents, issuing land tax receipts, house tax receipts, installing the name boards and all other official purposes in the light of the proceedings passed by the second respondent herein vide Na.Ka.No.A4/4748/2020 dated 16.11.2020. 2/5

2. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that instructions are already issued to the Block Development Officer, Kurunthencode Panchayat Union, Kurunthencode to maintain the name of the 'Thanivilai Hamlet' in all the documents.
