ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Family Judge, Madurai, to expedite the trial in G.W.O.P.No.21 of 2016, within the stipulated time.

2. It is the case of the revision petitioner that he filed GWOP No.21 of 2016 before the Court below to appoint him as guardian of his minor son. Though the said petition has been filed in the year 2016 itself, the same is pending for more than two years. Hence, the revision petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction for early disposal.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner submitted that as per the Judicial Notification No.C-5 CAS/2007 Tamil Nadu Case Flow Management in Subordinate Courts/Rules 2007, these type of cases should be disposed of within a period of nine months from the date of filing the petition. However, the said petition is pending for more than two years. Hence, he prayed for a direction.

4. In view of Judicial Notification No.C-5 CAS/2007 Tamil Nadu Case Flow Management in Subordinate Courts/Rules 2007, this Court directs the learned Family Judge, Madurai, to dispose of G.W.O.P.No.21 of 2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
