[Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.] Seeking to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner by the learned III Additional Sessions Judge (Full Additional Charge) Mahila Court, Tirunelveli , vide Judgment dated 11.06.2024 in S.C.No.169 of 2020 , he has filed this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner has failed to make out a prima facie case for grant of suspension of sentence since he has committed a very serious offence against his own wife by pouring kerosene and set her ablaze, hence we are of the opinion that it is not a fit case for grant of suspension of sentence to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands dismissed.
